I was fortunate enough to work with new label Moonwalker on their pre-campaign shoot today, testing with two incredible models from Melbourne based agency Giant Management. As the two boys strutted their stuff in-front of the camera I took some time out to write a short blog post about the pending shoot.
Nestled away in the remote streets of Melbourne's busy South Melbourne district the studio entitled 28 Ross St was buzzing with excitement at the chance to view this new creative work. As we quickly became 2 models down we made the most of having models Srdjan and Octavius. Asking them to use music, the main inspiration for this label, to inspire their movements in-front of the camera. As the two models found their feet they quickly became more and more willing to let their souls bare, all for the love of music.
Inspired greatly by music genres such as Hip-Hop, Rock & Dance this new labels coming together has seen it collaborate with many noteable local and international music acts to create this, it's first collection.
Entities like Public Enemy, N*E*R*D and Uffie have allowed the brand to use prints or symbols closely related to them for the brand to use.
Including denim, tee's, skirt's, short's, chino's, shoe's, hat's, belt's jackets and a modern urban feel currently unparalleled by other brands today this new label, whom is ready to hit stores nationally in the coming months, has to be seen.
I urge you to go and check out this new collection, it will inspire the music inside of you and it may even bring out the rock god, hip-hop gangster or dance deviant from within.
