The Beautiful People - BARTENDER

24th April 2011

Serving superstar celebrities is one of the many joys I get to experience working with so many groups as a host or bartender, and today was no exception. Prahran's Greville Street is usually a hub for many celebrities, but more for fashionistas, however tonight Chris Brown's Melbourne F.A.M.E. tour came to an end tonight right here at his after-party held at Melbourne nightclub Jett Black's regular Saturday night "Vintage".

I was lucky enough to serve the superstar, and his crew as the sipped down Grey Goose and shotted Patron Cafe.

Melbournian rapper Chris Surreal warmed the crowd up as the mega-celeb was soon to enter the building. Melbournite and lead support act Jessica Mauboy made an appearance at the after-party briefly and with a slow movement the pair of talented artists were just a memory.

Jett Black's "Vintage" seems to attract all the stars hosting both Chris & Bonethugz & Harmony on one big weekend. It sure is the place to be if you like partying with the celebs, you never know just who you will bump into, make sure to check it out on your next free Saturday night!

Man Amongst Kings - STYLIST

21st April 2011

Melbourne based label Kings of Carnaby shot their Spring/ Summer lookbook today, and I was lucky enough to be on hand to help out with models Nathan and Olivia's hair. Kings customer turned model for the day Nathan and Giant Management's Olivia were amazing to work with and after a fair amount of time the two were set to take to set.

Shooting at the amazing Imperial Hotel on Chapel St, South Yarra the local brand was ready to unleash their upcoming range onto the camera.

The modern chic brand, inspired by London's Carnaby St, never ceases to amaze it's fans with a sense of timeless beauty mixed with modern and chic designs this season's collection certainly did not disappoint. A mixture of navy's and caramels mixed with tailored suits and evening attire the brand was certainly on trend with it's forthcoming collection, and with models Nathan and Olivia bringing their effortless beauty to set it was quite refreshing to see just how models make fashion look enticing.

The brands flagship store is on Melbourne's iconic Greville St, Prahran, and their alternative styled collection will make you ooze with fashion juice. I dare you to go in and try not to buy anything...

Moonwalking - STYLIST

21st April 2011

I was fortunate enough to work with new label Moonwalker on their pre-campaign shoot today, testing with two incredible models from Melbourne based agency Giant Management. As the two boys strutted their stuff in-front of the camera I took some time out to write a short blog post about the pending shoot.

Nestled away in the remote streets of Melbourne's busy South Melbourne district the studio entitled 28 Ross St was buzzing with excitement at the chance to view this new creative work. As we quickly became 2 models down we made the most of having models Srdjan and Octavius. Asking them to use music, the main inspiration for this label, to inspire their movements in-front of the camera. As the two models found their feet they quickly became more and more willing to let their souls bare, all for the love of music.

Inspired greatly by music genres such as Hip-Hop, Rock & Dance this new labels coming together has seen it collaborate with many noteable local and international music acts to create this, it's first collection.
Entities like Public Enemy, N*E*R*D and Uffie have allowed the brand to use prints or symbols closely related to them for the brand to use.

Including denim, tee's, skirt's, short's, chino's, shoe's, hat's, belt's jackets and a modern urban feel currently unparalleled by other brands today this new label, whom is ready to hit stores nationally in the coming months, has to be seen.

I urge you to go and check out this new collection, it will inspire the music inside of you and it may even bring out the rock god, hip-hop gangster or dance deviant from within.
